Diversity with another Investment Class

Hedging instruments are purchased in combination with an equity index to form a portfolio (Goldi).  The instrument can be a financial, metal, or energy instrument. On some occasions it could be a currency. We define “true” diversity when you invest in more than 1 asset class (like an Equity Index and 1 of our Hedging Instruments).

GC = Gold
Gold is currently the best performing metal.  We do have better performing instruments, but due to their high volatility, Gold gets the starting spot. 

ZB = US 30 Year Bond
Bonds are typically our premier financial instrument, but this year T-Bills are outstanding.  

GBX = Euro Buxl Bond
This is Europe's 10 Year Bond.  It is traded on the EUREX exchange. 

Gilt = UK 10 Year Long Gilt
This is the UK's 10 Year Long Gilt.  This is the best performing financial instrument, it may break the starting lineup in late Summer early Fall this year.
